“ I had a good job and a good salary, I ended up using a local food bank. It’s been a humbling experience. I was humiliated. The local pharmacies wouldn’t fill my pain pill prescriptions, they wrote me off as just another drug addict. I know why they call it the suicide disease because I have thought about it. It all started in 2012 when I got into a severe car accident where I hydroplaned and flipped my car three times. Thats what set everything off. Different doctors gave me different diagnosis, MS, lyme disease, hydrocephalus. And finally Trigeminal neuralgia. I really lost who I was, my personality. I’m starting to get that back. After starting care, my pain has greatly reduced, it happens less and doesn’t last as long as it did before. I’m able to focus more now, I’m back to running my household again and helping my boyfriend with his business. I know what I was going through really affected my family. I’m thankful that they stuck by me and helped me through this pain.”
